Brief Biography |
Rebecca Wehrmann was an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, double majoring in both Chemistry and in Molecular & Cellular Biology. Her undergraduate research was in the lab of Prof. Scott K. Silverman. After graduation, she joined Teach for America to teach high school science in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. |
Research Interests |
In my research project, I used in vitro selection to identify new deoxyribozymes for the site-specific hydrolysis of DNA, specifically considering the pH dependence of the catalytic activity. |
