Brief Biography |
Tania Velez was an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Biochemistry. She performed undergraduate research with Prof. Scott K. Silverman. After graduation, she entered the Graduate Program in Life Sciences at Northwestern University. |
Research Interests |
My research in the Silverman Lab examined the importance of random region length on DNA catalysis. I also sought deoxyribozymes that catalyze reactions at lysine side chains. |
