Brief Biography

Owen Young received his B.S. degree in chemistry from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2024. He joined the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a graduate student in chemistry in Fall 2024, where (after chemical biology area rotations) he joined the laboratory of Prof. Scott K. Silverman to study DNAzymes.

Research Interests

In my research project, I am identifying DNAzymes that site-specifically modify proteins by lysine acylation reactions.
