Brief Biography

Jikun Wang received his B.A. degree in chemistry from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2022 and his M.S. degree in chemistry from University of Pennsylvania in 2024. He joined the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a graduate student in biochemistry in Fall 2024, where (after rotations) he joined the laboratory of Prof. Scott K. Silverman to study DNAzymes.

Research Interests

In my research project, I am identifying DNAzymes that alkylate DNA, RNA, and peptides by reductive amination.
